Louisville reaches bowl eligibility for sixth straight season; fans can start planning for the bowl trip
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - With the win over Virginia on Saturday, the University of Louisville football team is bowl eligible for the sixth consecutive season and the 15th time in the last 18 years.
UofL will represent the Atlantic Coast Conference in a bowl matchup that will be announced the first weekend of December. However, fans can begin preparing for all potential bowl locations by ordering their tickets on the Louisville Bowl Central page, www.GoCards.com/bowl.
Prior to the bowl announcement, fans can pre-order tickets and get information on travel packages. Fans who plan to attend the bowl game should pre-order tickets prior to the priority deadline on December 2. The number of tickets Louisville pre-sells for a bowl game can help the athletic department present the best possible bowl scenario for the Cardinals.
All bowl orders must be completed online. Orders will be filled based on Cardinal Athletic Fund priority points and season ticket purchase history. There are no limits to the number of tickets that can be requested.
Fans planning to travel with the Cardinals to its bowl destination can take advantage of great travel package offers. Anthony Travel will once again present the official Louisville Bowl Tour with packages featuring hotel accommodations, charter flight or ground transportation to the bowl city, access to bowl events, ground transportation to and from the game, souvenirs, and on-site tour directors. For more information on official Louisville Bowl Tour travel packages, visit www.GoCardsTravel.com today.
The Cardinals, who have won four of its last six bowl appearances, will be making their 20th postseason trip and sixth under head coach Bobby Petrino. Louisville was one of only 19 schools with multiple BCS bowl wins (2013 Sugar, 2007 Orange) during the Bowl Championship Series era and one of only five programs to have an undefeated record in multiple BCS bowl games (2-0).Â
Complete information on Louisville's upcoming bowl appearance is provided on the Cardinals' Bowl Headquarters page on their web site at www.GoCards.com/bowl.
