Men's Tennis Picks Up Four Wins in CCB Collegiate Invitational

Cards close day one with four wins
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of Louisville picked up four wins on day one of the CCB Collegiate Invitational Friday afternoon. Â
"Two gutsy three-set wins for us today," said assistant coach Jakob Gustafsson. "With Christian being down in both second and third set of his match, it was great to see him come through with a win."

The Cardinals registered three singles wins on the day. Freshman Christian Haushammer rallied from a 6-2 loss in the first set to beat Tulane's Ian Van Cott 7-6(5), 6-4 in the next two. Fellow freshman George Hedley registered a 6-0, 6-2 win over Tulane's Eric Wagner. Sophomore Santiago Salazar rounded out Louisville's Friday singles wins with a 6-3, 2-6, 7-5 victory over Chao-Yu Huang from Southern Miss.

Freshmen George Hedley and Christian Morin-Kougoucheff defeated Samford's Trey Carter and Leonard Gerch 8-5 to pick up a doubles win for the Cardinals.
