The Field: The race will feature 36 men's and 39 women's squad from the states of Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. The men's field boasts five teams ranked in the latest USTFCCCA poll, including No. 10 NC State, No. 12 Virginia, No. 13 Furman, No. 18 Virginia Tech, and No. 26 Eastern Kentucky. The women's field includes four ranked squads including No. 6 Virginia, No. 8 NC State, No. 22 William & Mary, and No. 28 North Carolina.

LOUISVILLE, KY. -- The University of Louisville men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete in the NCAA Southeast Regional Championship at Panaroma Farms in Earlysville, Va., on Friday, Nov. 13. The women's 6K race is set to begin at 12:00 p.m., while the men's 10K race will begin at 1:00 p.m. This will be the first time this season that the men will compete in a 10K race.

The race features teams from Division I schools in Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. The top two squads from the NCAA Southeast Regional will receive an automatic bid to the NCAA Cross Country Championships held at E.P. 'Tom' Sawyer State Park in Louisville, Ky., on Nov. 21. The teams competing that do not receive an automatic bid will have a chance to claim one of the remaining at-large bids.

The Louisville men have posted four top-10 finishes including two team victories and a fifth-place finish at the ACC Championships. Four Cardinals finished in the top 20 with Edwin Kibichiy pacing the Cardinals with a third place finish with a season best time of 23:30.6. Seniors Ernest Kibet and Japhet Kipkoech finished 12th and 14th, respectively. Newcomer Calvin Chemoiywo clocked a personal best time of 24:07.0 en route to a 17th place finish.
The Louisville women are coming off a 13th place showing at the ACC Championships. Senior Benadate Cheruiyot paced the Cardinals with a 21:11.3 time to finish 32nd. Junior Clair Noser finished 55th with a personal best time of 21:44.6. Freshman Aurilla Wilson clocked a personal best time of 22:13.4 to finish 73rd.
Following the Southeast Regional Championships, the University of Louisville will host the NCAA Cross Country Championships that will be held at Tom Sawyer State Park on Nov. 21.
