- Louisville falls to 2-14 all-time versus Florida State, and 1-9 in Tallahassee.

- Louisville captains for Saturday's game were seniors James Burgess, Aaron Epps, Brandon Radcliff, Sheldon Rankins and junior Keith Kelsey.
- Louisville won the toss and elected to receive to open the game.
OFFENSE
- Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson connected with James Quick for a 19-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter, his first career multi-touchdown game through the air. He finished with three on the afternoon.
- Jackson passed for a season-high 307 yards, his previous high was 212 yards against Samford.
- The 307 yards passing makes Jackson the third freshman in Louisville history to throw for over 300 yards in a game.
- Jackson completed a 48-yard pass to James Quick in the first quarter which was the longest pass of his career.
- Jackson finished with 32 yards on the ground. He is 37 yards away from breaking Michael Bush's U of L record for rushing yards in a single season by a true freshman.
- James Quick set a new career-high in touchdowns with three. The last time a Cardinal receiver had three in a game was DeVante Parker last season against Kentucky.
- Quick had a season-high 130 yards receiving and his third career game with over 100 yards receiving.
- Jamari Staples finished the game with four receptions for 56 yards in his first start this season for the Cardinals.
- Reggie Bonnafon hauled in a 23-yard reception in the third quarter, the longest of his career.
- Freshman Jaylen Smith tied a season-high in receptions with five for 38 yards.
- Cole Hikutini grabbed a career-long 38-yard reception in the fourth quarter.
- Kiola Mahoni and Cole Hikutini earned their first career starts, while Jamari Staples recorded his first start for the Cardinals. Louisville has had 13 different starters on offense this season.
DEFENSE
- Louisville held Florida State without a touchdown in the first half for the first time in 16 games.
- Trevon Young recorded his first career multi-sack game with two in the first half against Florida State.
- Louisville held Florida State to 0 yards rushing in the first half. The Seminoles had rushed for over 100 yards in the first half in four of five games this season.
- The Cardinals failed to force a turnover for the first time in 21 games. Their streak was tied with Baylor for the longest in the country.
- Louisville was held without an interception for the second straight game. They had a streak of 17 consecutive games with an interception prior to their last game.
- James Burgess tied for a team high with seven tackles and is tied for first on the team with 50 stops this season.
