Basketball Court at KFC Yum! Center Gets Redesign

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - With the University of Louisville moving into a new conference this season, it was the perfect timing for the men's and women's basketball teams to unveil the new court design at the KFC Yum! Center.
Louisville sports information photographer Michelle Hutchins used a time lapse to capture the day-by-day changes, which spanned two weeks. After sanding down the court, the crew applied different treatments to the wood before employing the new design.
In addition to installing the new ACC logo in the paint near the free-throw line, halfcourt underwent the biggest change - boasting Louisville's primary mark, the Cardinal bird head. The previous design showcased the winged bird.
