Softball Earns Academic Honors

The 2014 University of Louisville softball team was successful both on the field and in the classroom. In addition to capturing the 2014 American Athletic Conference tournament title, 17 players were selected to the 2013-14 American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team.
To be eligible for the honor, a nominee must have competed in an AAC-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive of academic work.
The following players were selected to the 2013-14 American All-Academic Team: Maryssa Becker, Kristina Dillard, Rachel Houck, Autumn McDuffie, Jordan McNary, Morgan Meyer, Nicole Pufahl, Tiarra Sanabria, Brittany Sims, Whitney Arion, Kelsi Jones, Kayla Soles, Caralisa Connell, Taner Fowler, Katie Keller, Hannah Kiyohara, and Rachel LeCoq.
The 2014 UofL softball team posted a 36-22 overall record, claimed the 2014 American Athletic Conference Championship and capped the season with the program's 11th straight NCAA appearance.
