University of Louisville senior wide receiver Kai De La Cruz had a productive junior season before injuries slowed his progress.

A native of Montvale, N.J., De La Cruz opened the season with a four-catch, 116-yard performance in the 49-7 win over Ohio. Receiving the most extensive playing time of his career, De La Cruz scored on throws of 40 yards from Teddy Bridgewater and 30 yards from Will Gardner.

De La Cruz is one of five senior wide receivers who will contribute this season.
