LOUISVILLE, Ky.- University of Louisville junior linebacker James Burgess is set to begin his third season as a starting linebacker.

Burgess, a native of Miami, Fla., is coming off a career season a year ago. He posted 71 tackles as a sophomore, including a career-high eight in games against Ohio and UCF. He also recorded his third career interception in a 24-10 win over Rutgers.

Entering his junior year, Burgess is a key component to a defense that must replace seven starters.
