TEAM NOTES
- The Cardinals advanced to their third straight, 20th overall, NCAA Sweet 16 in school history. Louisville now is one of five schools all-time to reach the NCAA Sweet 16.
- Louisville picked up its 31st victory of the season, tying for the sixth-most wins in a season in school history.
- Louisville's record as a No. 4 seed improved to 16-8 overall.
- Head coach Rick Pitino improved his NCAA Tournament record to 50-16 (.758).
- Louisville owns a 46-20 all-time record against Saint Louis, including a 4-0 mark at neutral sites.
- Louisville has won seven-straight games and 22 of its last 23 postseason contests.
- Louisville stifled Saint Louis for a 5:17 stretch in the first half without a field goal.
- The Cardinals held the Billikens to just 16 points in the first half, the fewest by a Louisville opponent in an NCAA Tournament game since box scores were readily available in 1979-80. The fewest points prior to Saint Louis' total were 19 by Idaho on March 15, 1990.
- Louisville held Saint Louis without a 3-point basket in the game. The 0-for-15 performance is the most 3-point attempts without a make in NCAA Tournament history.
- The Cardinals forced the Billikens into 18 turnovers, matching Saint Louis' worst performance this season (Dayton, 18).
- Louisville's 25 points off turnovers are the most the Billikens have allowed this season.

PLAYER NOTES
- Luke Hancock finished with a game-best 21 points on 6-of-15 shooting, including four 3-pointers. It's the most points he's totaled in an NCAA Tournament game since finishing with 22 in the 2013 NCAA Championship.
- Hancock had 11 points in the first half, the most he has scored since totaling 16 against Michigan in the 2013 national championship game.
- Russ Smith finished with 11 points, moving him into first place on the school's NCAA Tournament career scoring list with 225. He passed Milt Wagner, who had the lead with 224 (1981-86).
- Montrezl Harrell recorded his 12th career double-double, totaling 10 points and 11 rebounds. He is the first player to have a double-double in consecutive postseason games since 1986, when Pervis Ellison had 11 points and 13 rebounds against LSU (3/29/86) and then 25 points and 11 rebounds versus Duke (3/31/86).
