LOUISVILLE TEAM NOTES
- Louisville has won 31 straight exhibition games with its last preseason loss coming on Dec. 2, 2000 to a Global Sports team 87-86 in double overtime in Freedom Hall.
- The Cardinals improved to 9-0 in exhibition games at KFC Yum! Center.
- Saturday's game marked the fifth straight exhibition win by 20 or more points for Louisville.
- The Cardinals finished with a 50-30 advantage in the paint and a 14-4 edge in fast break points.
- Saturday marked the first of two exhibition games for Louisville this season. The Cardinals will close their preseason slate on Sunday, Nov. 9 against Bellarmine at 12:30 p.m., ET at the KFC Yum! Center.
- For each ACC exhibition game during the preseason this year, the shot clock will be shortened from 35 seconds to 30 seconds as an experimental rule. Data around the use of the reduced shot clock will be collected and provided to the NCAA. The experimental rule will only be in place for the Cardinals' exhibitions against Barry and Bellarmine.
LOUISVILLE PLAYER NOTES
- Senior Wayne Blackshear led the Cardinals with a team-high 22 points, the most points in an exhibition game for Louisville since Mike Marra had 22 points in a 96-54 win over Kentucky Wesleyan on Nov. 11, 2010 at the KFC Yum! Center.
- In five previous exhibition games during his first three seasons at Louisville, Blackshear scored a combined total of 26 points, highlighted by his 10-point effort against Pikeville on Nov. 6, 2013.
- With 18 points on Saturday, junior Montrezl Harrell has scored 16 or more points in all five career exhibition games at Louisville.
- Previous exhibition point totals for Harrell include 18 versus Pikeville (Nov. 6, 2013), 20 against Kentucky Wesleyan (Oct. 29, 2013), 16 versus Bellarmine (Nov. 7, 2012) and 19 against Pikeville (Nov. 1, 2012).
- Four members of the Cardinals made their collegiate debuts on Saturday with freshmen Anas Mahmoud, Chinanu Onuaku, Quentin Snider and Matz Stockman seeing game action against Barry.
