
Men's Basketball Tip-off Luncheon Sold Out

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The annual University of Louisville men's basketball tip-off luncheon presented by First Urology on Oct. 20 at noon at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in downtown Louisville is sold out.
Doors open at 11:30 a.m. for the event which will include comments from UofL Coach Rick Pitino and an appearance by members of the 2014-15 Cardinals. The event was first offered to UofL men's basketball season ticket holders and sold out before a public sale could transpire. Questions may be directed to Ronee Baxter via phone at 502-852-2015.
Fans can get their first look at the Cardinals in a pair of public Red-White intrasquad scrimmages in the KFC Yum! Center on consecutive Sundays in October on Oct. 19 and 26, both at 2 p.m. ET.
Tickets, priced at $10 for lower arena seats and $5 for upper arena seats, are on currently on sale at the UofL Ticket Office, located near Gate 2 of Papa John's Cardinal Stadium at 2800 South Floyd Street. The ticket office is open weekdays from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. Cardinal fans may also purchase tickets by visiting Ticketmaster online at www.Ticketmaster.com, calling 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting any Ticketmaster Ticket Center, including statewide Kroger locations. Convenience fees are applied with Ticketmaster orders. A limited number of tickets are available for UofL students to each scrimmage at no charge. Student tickets -- no more than two for each scrimmage -- must be obtained with a valid student ID in advance at the UofL ticket office.
Louisville returns two starters and eight lettermen from its successful 2013-14 squad which reached the NCAA Sweet 16 with a 31-6 record, earned the American Athletic Conference co-championship, won the league tournament title and earned its fourth consecutive conference Team Academic Excellence Award, which recognizes the highest collective grade point average in each league sport. The Cardinals, which have won a nation-leading 96 games over the last three seasons, will compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference for the first time this season.
