- Under Petrino, Louisville is 47-9 when scoring 20 or more points and 41-5 when leading after the third quarter.
- Louisville is now 29-6 over its last 35 games.
- Florida State now leads the all-time series with Louisville 13-2.
- Louisville stopped Florida State on a fourth-down conversion in the third quarter. The Cardinals' defense now has held opponents to just 1-for-9 on fourth down, which ranks third in the country.
- Louisville held a 21-point lead in the second quarter, the largest deficit FSU faced over the last two seasons.
-
- Louisville's defense held FSU scoreless in the first quarter, just the second time the Seminoles have been shut out in the opening period.
- The Cardinals converted on five of their six red zone opportunities, boosting their season percentage to 86.8 (33-for-38).
- On third downs, Louisville went just 1-for-11. It was the fewest third downs converted since being held to 1-for-17 against Clemson on Oct. 11. Had Louisville been unable to convert a third down, it would have been only the second time it happened since 1993 (Louisville went 0-for-13 against Marshall on Dec. 18, 2002).
- Louisville held Florida State without points on the Seminoles opening possession, marking the fourth time Florida State hasn't scored on its first drive.
- Louisville's defense totaled three interceptions in the game, giving the Cardinals at least one interception in each game this season.
-
- It's the second game this season the Cardinals have recorded at least three picks in a game after totaling three versus Wake Forest on Sept. 27.
- Louisville's defense intercepted Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston three times, marking the first time in his career he has thrown that many interceptions.
- Florida State had 574 yards of total offense, the most since Syracuse compiled 524 on Nov. 10, 2012.
PLAYER NOTES
- Louisville's offense had a 100-yard rusher (Michael Dyer), 100-yard receiver (DeVante Parker), and 300-yard passer (Will Gardner) for the first time since achieving the feat on Oct. 10, 2013. Teddy Bridgewater (passer), Senorise Perry (rusher), and Damian Copeland (receiver) against Rutgers.
- Michael Dyer rushed 28 times for 134 yards - a 4.8 average - for a career-high three touchdowns. His previous high was two, which he achieved multiple times at Auburn.
-
- It was the first time a Louisville running had three touchdowns since Jeremy Wright scored three on the ground against Kentucky on Sept. 2, 2012.
- His 100-yard performance was the first since Brandon Radcliff totaled 129 yards against Wake Forest on Sept. 27.
- He became the first player since Russell Wilson (during tenure at NC State) to rush for three touchdowns in a game against Florida State. Wilson achieved the feat on Oct. 28, 2010.

- His 214 yards are tied for the second most in a single game in school history. Ibn Green totaled 214 against East Carolina in 1998. Harry Douglas continues to hold the record with 223 yards against Kentucky in 2007.
- It was Parker's seventh-career game with at least 100-yards receiving. He is tied with Mario Urrutia (2005-07) for eighth all-time.
Parker's 71-yard reception to start the game is the third-longest play from scrimmage this year.
- Will Gardner went 20-for-38 for 330 yards and one touchdown.
-
- It is the first 300-yard performance since Teddy Bridgewater had 344 against USF on Oct. 26, 2013.

- It's the third time this season he has had two interceptions in a game (FIU, Virginia).
- James Sample recorded a team-high and career-high 15 tackles in the loss to FSU. It's the first time a player has registered at least 15 tackles since Preston Brown had 17 versus USF on Oct. 20, 2012.
