Women's Basketball Making Two Big Monday Appearances

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team is poised to make two appearances on ESPN2's Big Monday, presented by Verizon, the network announced Wednesday.
The seven-week women's basketball college basketball series will feature the nation's top programs beginning Jan. 29.

Louisville, entering its inaugural season in the Atlantic Coast Conference, first appears on Big Monday on the road on Feb. 2 at Duke. Tip at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham, N.C., is set for 7 p.m. The two programs have met twice in series history, with each program winning once. The Cardinals defeated the Blue Devils 73-66 in the Felpausch Classic on Nov. 24, 1991 in East Lansing, Mich.
Louisville returns to the Big Monday stage on Feb. 23, when it travels to Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind. The Cardinals and Fighting Irish are scheduled to take part in their 15th meeting at 7 p.m. in a Play 4Kay contest in Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center.
All Big Monday telecasts will also be available through WatchESPN, accessible online at WatchESPN.com, on smartphones and tablets via the WatchESPN app, and streamed on televisions through Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Xbox 360 or Xbox One to fans who receive their video subscription from an affiliated provider.
No. 16 in espnW's 2014-15 Preseason Top 25 Poll from April, Louisville reached the NCAA Elite Eight a season ago and is set for its eighth season under head coach Jeff Walz. The team boasts five seniors, including all-region and all-conference selection Sara Hammond, and a five-member incoming class that features 2014 McDonald's All-Americans Myisha Hines-Allen and Mariya Moore.
