Louisville's game captains were seniors Brandon Dunn and Preston Brown.
Louisville moves to 11-1 overall, 7-1 in the American Athletic Conference. The seven league wins are the most for the Cardinals since winning eight in 2004.
The Cardinals have won seven straight games on the road dating back to last season. Louisville has also won 10 of its last 13 league games.
The Cardinals have won 23 of their last 26 games dating back to last season. Louisville is 22-3 over the last two seasons.

Offensive Notes
- The Cardinals scored on their opening drive when Teddy Bridgewater hit DeVante Parker on a 36-yard touchdown pass. It was the ninth time the Cardinals scored on their opening drive and the eighth time it resulted in a touchdown.
- Wide receiver DeVante Parker caught- his team-leading 11th touchdown pass of the season and the 27th of his career. His 11 touchdowns are tied for the second-most in school history, tying the previous mark he recorded last season and Anthony Cummings (1990) and Arnold Jackson (1998). Parker recorded a career-high nine receptions for 104 yards - the fourth 100-yard game of his career.
- Parker's 36-yard touchdown reception was the 15th touchdown reception of 20 or more yards in his career and the eighth of over 30 yards.
- Copeland made his 25th-consecutive start at wide receiver and also caught a pass for 25th-straight game. Copeland caught three passes for 35 yards to give him a new career-high for receptions 52. He caught 50 passes for 628 yards as a junior last season.
- In the second half, Bridgewater completed 17-of-23 passes for 169 yards.
- Junior Dominique Brown carried 19 times for 79 yards and a touchdown to give him 783 yards and eight scores this season.
Defensive Notes
- Safety Hakeem Smith started his 50th-straight game at safety, tying Travis Leffew (2002-05) for the school record for the most starts in school history. Safety Calvin Pryor started for the 31st-straight time and linebacker Preston Brown the 29th straight time.
- Cornerback Charles Gaines picked off his team-high fifth pass of the season on the game's first possession. His five interceptions are the most since Johnny Patrick had five in 2010.
- Safety Hakeem Smith registered his third interception on the season and the fourth of his career.
- The Cardinals picked off two passes on Thursday night to give them 16 this year, which is the most since the 2005 squad had 17 interceptions. The Cardinals forced a pair of turnovers to give them a total of 26 this year and marked the ninth time this season that Louisville has forced two or more miscues.
Special Teams Notes
- Placekicker John Wallace booted a 31-yard field goal in the second quarter to give him a career-best 17 field goals this season. The 17 field goals are the second-most on the school's single-season list. Wallace is 17-of-21 this season and 33-of-42 for his career.
- Michaelee Harris recorded a career-long 27-yard punt return in the first half, the second-longest return this season.
