Pitino Talks About Release of Book, Saturday's Scrimmage

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino spoke with the media on Oct. 4 about his latest book 'The One-Day Contract,' which he wrote with the help of local media member Eric Crawford.
At Friday's press conference, Pitino spoke about the process of writing the book with Crawford and the different stories that led to certain passages in the book.

Pitino also spoke at length about the Cardinals' progress during the first few practices of the year and what lineups he will use in Saturday's intrasquad scrimmage in the KFC Yum! Center at 4 p.m. Louisville will hold two other scrimmages prior to the season: Oct. 12 at 3:30 p.m. and Oct. 19 at 1 p.m.
A 2013 inductee to the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, Pitino is the only coach to take three different schools to the NCAA Final Four. He guided the UofL Cardinals to the national championship in 2013. He is the author of acclaimed business and leadership books, including The One-Day Contract (St. Martin's Press).
PITINO TO PARTICIPATE IN UofL KENTUCKY AUTHOR FORUM
Pitino will participate in the UofL Kentucky Author Forum on Wednesday, Oct. 9, beginning at 4:15 p.m. with a book in the Lobby of The Kentucky Center lobby in downtown Louisville.
Pitino's newest book, The One-Day Contract, was released Oct. 1. Following the book signing at the Forum, Pitino will be interviewed by Joe Nocera, Op-Ed and Business columnist for The New York Times.

A $20 ticket includes access to the Pitino book signing from 4:15-5:15 p.m., a Brown-Forman wine and cheese reception from 5-6 p.m., the interview, and the question and answer session with the audience.
