Louisville Announces Two-Game Matchup with Houston

LOUISVILLE, Ky.- The University of Louisville Athletic Department announced a two-game football series with Houston, scheduled for the 2015 and 2016 seasons.
The Cougars will travel to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium on Sept. 12, 2015, and the Cardinals will make the return trip to Houston on Nov. 19, 2016. The Cougars are in the process of building a new 40,000-seat stadium that is scheduled to be completed in 2014.
The two teams are slated to meet as members of the American Athletic Conference on Nov. 16 at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Prior to this year's matchup, the teams have met 14 times, with the series tied at seven apiece.
Before this season, the Cardinals and Cougars were members of Conference USA in 2004, when Louisville defeated the Cougars 65-27 at Robertson Stadium.
