
Card Fans Can Win a Trip to Battle 4 Atlantis

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville fans will have the opportunity to win a trip for two to follow the Cardinals' men's basketball team to the 2012 Battle 4 Atlantis, a prestigious tournament played at the famed Atlantis resort at Paradise Island, Bahamas on Nov. 22-24.
Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 19 at 10 a.m., Cardinal fans can visit the UofL Athletics Facebook page -- http://www.facebook.com/uoflsports -- for the link to sign up for a chance to win the trip. Official rules are noted on the sign-up page for the contest, which is open to UofL fans at least 18 years of age with a valid passport.
The 5-Day/ 4-Night Battle 4 Atlantis Prize Package for two includes:
- Airfare to Nassau, Paradise Island for two people, departing from a major international airport in the area on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and returning Sunday, Nov. 25
- Hotel accommodations for four nights at Atlantis, Paradise Island checking in on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and checking out Sunday, Nov. 25
- Transfers to and from the hotel in Nassau
- Tickets to the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament
- Battle 4 Atlantis swag bag
Tickets for that scrimmage, as well as the two additional scrimmages on Oct. 21 at 4 p.m. and Oct. 27 at 2 p.m., are currently available through the UofL ticket office locations and by visiting Ticketmaster online, calling 1-800-745-3000 or by visiting any Ticketmaster Ticket Center, including statewide Kroger locations. The Battle 4 Atlantis starts for the Cardinals with an opening game against Samford on Nov. 15 at the KFC Yum! Center, the Cardinals' only game of the event not played in the Bahamas.
All eight teams in the Battle 4 Atlantis field participated in post-season play last season, including five in the 2012 NCAA Tournament -- Louisville, Duke, Memphis, Missouri and VCU -- as well as three in the NIT with 2012 champion Stanford, runner-up Minnesota and NIT second round participant Northern Iowa. Six teams in the field have been included in early preseason top 25 rankings (Louisville, Duke, Memphis, Missouri, Minnesota and VCU). UofL will face Northern Iowa in the first round of the event on Nov. 22 at 9:30 p.m.
The temporary arena in Atlantis boasts state-of-the-art regulation facilities at the epicenter of the world's largest open-air marine habitat, complete with lavish guest accommodations, restaurants, bars, spa, lounges, waterslides and the largest casino in the Bahamas.
