- The Cardinals own the all-time series lead over West Virginia, 9-4. Louisville is now 3-3 when playing in Morgantown.
- Head coach Rick Pitino moved to 8-3 all-time against West Virginia. Pitino's record against teams coached by Bob Huggins is 11-6.
- The Cardinals have 32 wins in their last 38 games during the month of February dating back to the 2006-07 season. Since 2005, Louisville is 40-12 in February.
- The Cardinals produced an 11-0 run over 5:02 (5:52-0:50) to put them ahead, 75-71,play in the second half.
- Louisville overcame its largest halftime deficit of the year after trailing West Virginia, 44-37. The largest previous deficit was five, when Villanova led 44-39 at the half on Jan. 25.
- Freshman Wayne Blackshear made his first collegiate appearance, playing 20 minutes and tallying 13 points - 5-of-9 from the field, 3-of-5 from beyond the arc - and a steal. His 13 points tie Darrell Griffith for eighth-most by an individual in their career debut. Jerry Smith had the most, scoring 24 points when he made his debut against Northwestern State on Nov. 18, 2006.
- Louisville's 31 bench points are the second most this season after the team received 36 points from the group against Kentucky on Dec. 31, 2011.
- The Cardinals connected on 45.5 percent (10-of-22) of their 3-point field goals, their highest percentage of the season.
- The 10 3-pointers are the second-most made treys for the Cardinals this year. The team's most made field goals is 11, which Louisville knocked down against Connecticut at home on Feb. 6. It's the most made 3-pointers on the road this season.
- The performance from beyond the arc marked the 10th time on the road since joining the conference in 2005-06 that Louisville has knocked down at least 10 3-pointers in a game. The most 3-pointers the Cardinals hit came at USF, as Louisville knocked down 13 on Jan. 10, 2007.

- The Cardinals hit a season-best 86.7 percent (13-of-15) from the charity stripe.
- The Cardinals were cautious with the ball against the Mountaineers, turning the ball over only eight times. It's the fewest this season and least amount since the Cardinals turned the ball over seven times at USF on Jan. 9, 2011.
- Louisville has turned the ball over less than 10 times on the road against BIG EAST teams five times since joining the conference in 2005-06.
