
Friday and Saturday Football Practices Open to the Public

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Louisville football team will begin its 2011 preseason training schedule by hosting a pair of practice sessions open to the public on Friday and Saturday.
After officially opening their preseason drills with a closed session on Thursday, the Cardinals will host an open practice on Friday at 5:30 p.m., ET at the grass practice fields next to the Howard Schnellenberger Football Complex and Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. The following day, the team will return to the grass practice fields for an 11:30 a.m., session on Saturday, which will be the second and final open practice.
Second-year head coach Charlie Strong led Louisville to a Beef 'O' Brady's Bowl victory over Southern Miss in his first season at the helm. The Cardinals will open their 2011 season against Murray State on Thursday, Sept. 1 at 6 p.m., ET at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in a nationally-televised contest on ESPNU.
