LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Louisville rowing team's spring racing opener against Dayton scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled to due high water conditions on the Ohio River and will not be rescheduled.
"This time of year can be difficult for us, especially when there's been a lot of snow up north and a lot of rain in the south," said Louisville rowing head coach Laura Aubrey. "The team has not let this distract them or kept them from focusing on the long-term goals of the season. They've worked extremely hard all year and they are not going to let this affect everything they've gained. We look forward to our training trip to Austin and all the early racing it will provide us with."
The Cardinals will now open the spring racing season on March 18-20 at the Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas.
