TEAM
- Louisville has now won 18 straight games at home against unranked (Associated Press) BIG EAST opponents, last losing on Jan. 1, 2008, to Cincinnati (58-57 in the conference lidlifter).
- The Cards have won seven consecutive games against DePaul and 20 of 22 since the two teams have been in the same conference (beginning with the 1995-96 campaign). U of L leads the series 35-21, including 20-7 in Louisville.
- DePaul has not defeated Louisville in regulation since Feb. 24, 1995 (82-81 in Chicago)--both of its wins over the Cards in the last 16 seasons have come in overtime (60-58 on Feb. 25, 2004, and 79-76 on March 5, 2003). The Blue Demons have not downed the Cardinals in regulation in Louisville since Dec. 13, 1986 (75-68).
- The loss for DePaul extends its overall losing streak to 10 straight games, its BIG EAST losing stretch to 23, its road winless streak to 29, its BIG EAST road losing streak to 25, and its losing streak to ranked foes to 26.
- Cardinal head coach Rick Pitino won his 590th career game on Saturday evening, tying him with West Virginia coach Bob Huggins for the third-most wins all-time in the first 25 years of coaching.

- The Cards have played in five consecutive games with a final margin of five or less for the first time since Feb. 6-20, 1989 (five games). No Louisville squad has ever participated in six straight contests decided by five or less.
- U of L improves to 182-30 under Pitino when holding its opponent under 70 points, a mark the Blue Demons have failed to reach in eight straight matchups with the Cardinals.
- Louisville held DePaul without a block on the evening, making the Blue Demons the eighth BIG EAST opponent to have two blocks or fewer against the Cards. PLAYER
- Junior Terrence Jennings blocked four shots in the game to move into eighth in Louisville history for career blocked shots.
Career blocks, Louisville history
1. 374 - Pervis Ellison (1985-89)
2. 208 - Charles Jones (1980-84)
3. 185 - Billy Thompson (1982-86)
4. 178 - Rodney McCray (1979-83)
5. 173 - Cornelius Holden (1988-92)
5. 173 - Scooter McCray (1978-83)
7. 171 - Ricky Gallon (1974-78)
8. 136 - Terrence Jennings (2008-Present)
9. 134 - Francisco Garcia (2002-05)
10. 133 - Felton Spencer (1986-90)
- Jennings also joined an exclusive U of L club on Saturday, becoming the fifth player in school history to block 40 or more shots in three different seasons and the third to do so in three straight (only Pervis Ellison and Rodney McCray have done that). He now has 43 blocks this season after recording 53 as a freshman and 40 as a sophomore.
Seasons with 40+ blocks, Louisville history
1. 4 - Pervis Ellison (92 in 1985-86; 82 in 1986-87; 102 in 1987-88; 98 in 1988-89)
2. 3 - Terrence Jennings (53 in 2008-09; 40 in 2009-10; 43 in 2010-11)
2. 3 - Billy Thompson (40 in 1982-83; 51 in 1984-85; 63 in 1985-86)
2. 3 - Rodney McCray (63 in 1979-80; 42 in 1980-81; 43 in 1981-82)
2. 3 - Ricky Gallon (43 in 1974-75; 49 in 1975-76; 46 in 1977-78)
- The four-block game for Jennings was the ninth of his career. Jennings has 40 career multi-block games and 19 with three or more.
- With 10 points in the game, Jennings went over the 500-point mark for his career--he now has 507 in 87 career contests.
- Jennings also grabbed eight rebounds in the game, giving him 34 (8.5 per game) over his last four outings. He is also scoring at a 14.7 points per game clip over the past three games.
- Sophomore Stephan Van Treese continued his remarkable success from the floor on Saturday, hitting all three of his shots from the field. Van Treese has missed just one of his last 18 shots, including a streak of 12 straight at one point (snapped against West Virginia). His field-goal percentage in the BIG EAST currently sits at .714 (25-for-35).
- Sophomore Peyton Siva bounced back very nicely from an eight-turnover game (a career high) his last time out, notching nine assists before his first turnover on Saturday. No Cardinal has started a contest with such a run since Tony Williams had 10 assists and no turnovers in a 108-76 victory over Alaska Anchorage on Nov. 27, 1999.
- Siva became the first Cardinal with seven or more assists and no turnovers in the first half since Brandon Jenkins on Dec. 3, 2005, against Prairie View A&M (also seven assists and no miscues).
- The guard finished with a career-high tying 10 dimes, the most by a Cardinal since Terrence Williams had 13 on Nov. 17, 2008, against Hartford. The 10 assists tie for the 18th most in a game in Louisville history.
- Siva becomes the fourth Cardinal in the last 25 years to notch multiple double-digit assist games in the same season, joining Terrence Williams, Ellis Myles, and LaBradford Smith. Smith's five 10-assist outings in 1989-90 lead the way over that span.
10-assist games in a season, since 1986-87
1. 5 - LaBradford Smith - 1989-90 (12-11-12-10-10)
2. 3 - Terrence Williams - 2007-08 (13-10-11)
2. 3 - LaBradford Smith - 1990-91 (11-12-10)
- Providence's Vincent Council (four), Georgetown's Chris Wright (three), and Siva are the only players in the BIG EAST with multiple 10-assist games this season. Siva is the only one to do it twice in BIG EAST play, and with one more in the conference will become the first to have three such games in one BIG EAST season since Pittsburgh's Levance Fields had six in 2008-09 (he averaged 8.2 assists per game in conference play that year)
- Sophomore Mike Marra eclipsed his career high in rebounding by three on Saturday, finishing with eight.
- Junior Kyle Kuric's 3-for-5 game from downtown gives him seven makes in his last 11 tries from three-point land (.636). Kuric is 8-for-14 (.571) from three over the past three games.
- Junior Chris Smith went 2-for-4 from three-point range in the game, reclaiming the BIG EAST three-point percentage lead (all games) in the process. Smith (26-for-56, .464) sits just ahead of Pitt's Ashton Gibbs (74-for-160, .463), and Georgetown's Austin Freeman (53-for-116, .457).
- Freshman guard Russ Smith connected on his only field goal attempt of the game and also notched a steal in two minutes of action. Smith now has seven steals in his last 35 minutes of floor time and at least one theft in seven of his past eight games despite not playing more than nine minutes in any of those contests.
