
Women's Basketball Travels to Villanova

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will face the Villanova Wildcats on the road Sunday, Feb. 6 at 2:00 p.m. The Cardinals are looking to bounce back after falling to Georgetown at home on Tuesday evening.
Louisville enters Sunday's game with an overall record of 14-9 and a BIG EAST record of 5-4. The Cards are coming off a 76-52 loss to No. 17 Georgetown. Junior Monique Reid leads the team in scoring with 16.2 points per game. Freshman Shoni Schimmel is second with 15.8 points, while also leading the team and the league in assists at 5.5 per game. Senior Keshia Hines tops the team in rebounds with 6.2 boards per game.
Villanova enters the game with an overall record of 8-13 and a BIG EAST record of 0-8. The Wildcats are coming off a 62-57 loss to Marquette on Tuesday. The Wildcats are led in scoring and rebounding by Laura Sweeney averaging 10.5 points and 6.0 rebounds per game. Rachel Roberts rounds out the top scorers averaging 8.9 points per game.
Louisville leads the series against Villanova 5-0. The Cardinals are 2-0 against the Wildcats on the road. Last season edged Villanova 53-50 in Freedom Hall.
