Louisville, Ky. - - University of Louisville head football coach Charlie Strong will make an appearance at the Miller Information Technology Building (MITC) in Room 109 on Wednesday from Noon to 1:00 p.m.
Strong will be on hand to benefit to take pictures and sign autographs to benefit Bears on Patrol, a Kosair charity (online at http://staging.kosair.ribbitt.com/bearsonpatrol.html). Fans are asked to please bring a stuffed animal to this gathering.
Through the program, new and gently used stuffed bears and other plush items are collected from donors and given to police patrol cars in the Kentucky/Indiana area. Officers give these animals to children in times of distress (accidents, fires, domestic situations, etc.).
The bears provide children with a furry friend during scary situations. Often times they are terrified of the police officers and a stuffed animal can help alleviate their fears.
