
Women's Basketball Hosts Gardner Webb on Saturday at Noon

The 13th ranked Louisville women's basketball team will host Gardner Webb on Saturday at noon in the KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals will be looking to bounce back after falling to Kentucky at Memorial Coliseum last Sunday.
The Cardinals are 7-2 on the season and 3-0 at home. Four Cardinals are averaging double figures with senior Monique Reid leading all scorers with 15.7 points per game. Sophomore Shoni Schimmel is second on the team with 13.7 points per game while leading the team with 5.1 assists per game. Senior Becky Burke is third with 12.3 points per game while freshman Bria Smith is averaging 11.0 points per game. While sophomore Cierra Warren leads the team on the boards with 5.7 rebounds per game.
The Bulldogs are 0-7 after falling 58-50 to Wofford and 82-41 to USC in the Junkaroo Jam. The Bulldogs have faced two ranked teams this season, falling to Duke 97-31 and to North Carolina 109-44. Catrina Green and Jasmine Dale lead GWU in scoring with 7.6 and 7.3 points per game, respectively, and Green is the team's top rebounder with 7.4 per game. Dale leads the team with nine 3-pointers this season.
