
Women's Basketball Travels to Portland

The 13th ranked Louisville women's basketball team will face Portland on Saturday, Dec. 17 at 5:00 p.m. EST. The game is the first of a two game road on the West Coast before the Christmas break.
The Cardinals are 9-2 on the season after defeating Cincinnati 64-59 on Wednesday evening. Four Cardinals are averaging double figures with sophomore Shoni Schimmel leading the team with 13.8 points per game while leading the team with 4.6 assists per game. Monique Reid ranks second on the team with 13.1 points per game. Senior Becky Burke is third with 11.9 points per game while freshman Bria Smith is averaging 11.0 points per game. Cierra Warren leads the team on the boards with 5.4 rebounds per game.
Portland enters the game with an overall record of 5-6. The Pilots are 3-2 at home this season. The Pilots have two players averaging double figures. Natalie Day leads the team in scoring with 18.4 points per game. Day also leads the team on the boards with 7.7 per contest. ReZi Tecleariam is second on the team in scoring with 10.1 points per game. She also leads the team in assists, dishing out 4.8 per game.
The game is the first meeting between the two teams.
