| Freedom Hall Farewell
- The Cardinals played their final game in Freedom Hall this afternoon, closing 54 years of play in the legendary arena. Louisville finishes with an all-time record of 682-141. Head coach Rick Pitino is 149-26 during his entire collegiate career and 136-24 in his nine seasons at Louisville.
- Tonight was the final home game for four Louisville Cardinal seniors in Jerry Smith, Edgar Sosa, Reggie Delk and Chris Brickley. The class has combined to record a 102-35 record during that span. Louisville has won its last nine Senior Day games.
- This afternoon's crowd of 20,135 is a new Freedom Hall record, breaking the old mark of 20,091 against Connecticut on 1/21/06.
- Sophomore Kyle Kuric set a new career-high with 22 points on 9-of-11 shooting from the floor and 4-of-6 from behind the arc. His previous-high for points was 13 points in a win over Louisiana-Lafayette on 12/23/09. His four trifectas today were also a career-best, breaking his previous-high of three against Indiana State on 12/6/08.
- The Cardinals have fared well in recent years against Top 25 competition. Louisville is 15-9 against Top 25 foes over the last three years, including a 12-7 record during the regular season. The Cardinals have also won nine of their last 16 games against Top 10 foes.
- Syracuse was the ninth top-ranked in the Associated Press poll that Louisville has faced during the regular season. The Cardinals have won four of its last nine games against No. 1 foes, all but one of which were played in Louisville. The last time the Cardinals defeated a No. 1 team was a 69-63 win over Pittsburgh on 1/17/09. U of L is 3-4 against No. 1 teams in Freedom Hall.
- The Cardinals connected on 12-of-40 3-point field goals in the win over Syracuse this afternoon. The 40 3-point field goal attempts were the most since Louisville tried 38 in a win over Arkansas on 11/17/09. The 40 3-point field goals tied a school record for 3-point field goals attempted, which they previously did against TCU on 1/12/02.
- Senior Edgar Sosa tied a career-high for assists in a game with 10 helpers in the win over Syracuse. He also had 10 assists in a win over Morehead State on 11/22/08.
