
Women's Tennis Battles Back to Beat BYU

The University of Louisville women's tennis team dropped the doubles point but battled back in singles, taking four singles matches to beat Brigham Young 4-3 in a match Friday held on the campus of Arizona State.
The Cougars won all three doubles matches, although Louise Noe and Stefanie Villajuan took Chie Havasaka and Elle Carney to 8-6 at No .2 and Jo-Ann Van Aerde and Kaysara Mandry gave Elizaveta Ezhova and Romina Nedakovic all they could handle before falling 8-6.
U of L got a singles point from Mandy Brown who took down Romina Nedakovic 6-0, 6-4 at No. 3 and senior Ashley Irvin rolled at No. 5 Elle Carney with 6-2, 6-3 win. Stefanie Villajuan won easily at No .6 with a 6-1, 6-1 win over Elizaveta Ezhova.
