Louisville, Ky. - Head Coach Jeff Walz announced on Monday that Brandie Radde will rejoin the women's basketball team. Radde left Louisville in the middle of last season, her junior year, to concentrate on academics.
"I am excited about the opportunity to get back on the basketball court," said Radde. "Coach Walz was very understanding last year in letting me pursue my academic goals despite the timing of my decision. I have my academics in order and will graduate in May with a degree in biology and plan to take my MCATs and apply to medical school. Coach Walz understands what it truly means to be a student-athlete and how our education is our first priority. When I approached Coach Walz about returning to the team he was very open and supportive. I look forward to ending my career playing for Coach Walz and the Louisville Cardinals."
