TEAM
- Louisville improves its record to 7-0 for the first time since the 1996-97 season (10-0 start). The school record for victories to open a season is 13, achieved in three different seasons (1960-61, 1966-67, and 1974-75).
- Louisville extended its streak of consecutive games making at least five three-pointers to 27 on Wednesday night after canning 10 treys. Only VMI (80), Northern Colorado (37), Chattanooga (34), Weber State (30), Canisius (28), and Eastern Kentucky (28) have longer current streaks in Division I.
- The Cards held San Francisco without an assist for the first 18:57 of Wednesday's game before Moustapha Diarra finally assisted on Michael Williams' three-pointer with 1:03 left in the first half. Dating back to last game, U of L's opponents went a span of 21:31 with no assists.
- The Dons were nearly the first Louisville opponent to go an entire half without an assist since Marquette had none in the second half of Louisville's 71-51 over #13 Marquette on Jan. 17, 2008.
- The last U of L opponent to finish with fewer assists than San Francisco's five on Wednesday was Marquette on Jan. 17, 2008 (two dimes).
- After Perris Blackwell's layup made it 28-26 Louisville 26 seconds into the second half, the Cards went on a 16-0 run covering 9:18 to increase their lead to 44-26.
- U of L committed just five turnovers in the game, its fewest total since turning the ball over just once in a 73-65 loss to Georgetown on Feb. 7, 2007. The Cards' assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.40 (17 assists) was also their best single-game mark since that contest.
- The Dons' 11 second-half points were the fewest for a Louisville opponent in any half since at least the 1976-77 season.

PLAYER
- Sophomore Peyton Siva tied career highs in both assists (five) and steals (four) on Wednesday night. Siva has registered at least one steal in every game this season.
- Siva also tied career bests with five field goals made and five three-pointers attempted and set a new career high with eight attempts from the field.
- Sophomore Rakeem Buckles set a new career best with four assists in the game.
- Buckles also notched his second consecutive 10-rebound game and the fifth of his career.
- Junior Terrence Jennings tied career highs in both points (14) and rebounds (nine). He did not record a block, however, snapping his streak of six consecutive multi-block games to begin the season.
- Sophomore Mike Marra's streak of six straight games making multiple threes ended after the guard went 1-for-9 from long range against San Francisco. Marra and Pittsburgh's Ashton Gibbs had been the only BIG EAST players to hit multiple threes in every game this season.
- Marra's six-game streak ties for the second-longest season-opening stretch in school history, bested only by DeJuan Wheat's seven-game streak in 1994-95.
