Women's Basketball Hosts Mississippi Valley State on Thursday Evening

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will host Mississippi Valley State on Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7:00 p.m. in the KFC Yum! Center. The Cardinals are coming off their second 100-point performance of the season in a 100-79 win over IPFW on Monday.
Louisville enters the game with an overall record of 4-3. Junior Monique Reid leads the team in scoring at 16.4 points per game. Senior Keshia Hines leads the team in rebounding with 6.4 rebounds per game. While freshman Shoni Schimmel is second on the team in scoring with 12.7 points per game. Schimmel also leads the team in assists with 5.4 per game.
Mississippi Valley State enters the game with an overall record of 1-4. The Delta Devils are coming off an 85-40 loss to No. 4 Xavier on Tuesday. Junior De'Kisha Fondon leads the team in scoring with 10.3 points per game. Junior Ka'Neshia Smith leads the team in rebounding with 5.8 rebounds per game.
This is the first meeting between the two schools. The game will be broadcast live on WKRD and www.UofLsports.com. Jim Kelch will call the game and Paul Sanderford will add color commentary.
