
Wright Named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

Louisville, Ky. - Red-shirt freshman Jeremy Wright of the University of Louisville was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Stepping in for an injured Bilal Powell, who ranks fifth in the nation in rushing, Wright rushed for a career-high 98 yards and two touchdowns on 19 carries to help the Cardinals to a 28-20 win at Syracuse. Wright put the Cardinals on the board with a 28-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and he gave Louisville the lead for good with a 12-yard TD run in the third quarter.
He has scored three touchdowns this season, two of which on runs of 28 yards.
