
Philpott Named BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week

University of Louisville placekicker Chris Philpott was named the BIG EAST Special Teams Player of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Philpott tied a school record by making four field goals in as many attempts and scored 14 points to provide most of the scoring in Louisville's 26-0 win against Connecticut. Philpott hit from 39, 42, 26 and 24 yards, tying Nate Smith and Art Carmody for the most field goals in a game by a Cardinal player.
The native of Atlanta, Ga., is 11-of-14 on the season and is ranked third in the BIG EAST in scoring.
