Fans Encouraged to "White Out" Freedom Hall on Jan. 11

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville men's basketball fans are encouraged to wear white for the Cardinals' Jan. 11 game against sixth-ranked Villanova in an effort to "White Out" Freedom Hall.
In advance of the event, Cardinal fans are encouraged to support their local U of L retailers for game day merchandise for the game, which will be televised on ESPN's Big Monday.
The Cardinals have been successful with their previous "White Out" promotions. U of L knocked off Connecticut 68-54 on Jan. 22, 2007, beat No. 9 Georgetown on Feb. 9, 2008, and won 62-58 over Marquette on March 1, 2009 when Freedom Hall was a bright white. U of L Coach Rick Pitino drew national attention when he wore a white suit for the last two "White Out" games.
