
Women's Basketball Travels to No. 18 Georgetown

Louisville, Ky. - The University of Louisville women's basketball team will travel to Washington, D.C. to face Georgetown in BIG EAST action on Saturday, Jan. 16. The game will be televised on BIG EAST TV and can be seen locally on WHAS-TV at 2:00 p.m.
Louisville enters the game with an overall record of 10-6 and 2-1 in BIG EAST play, coming off a 67-48 win over Providence. The Cardinals are led in scoring by sophomore Becky Burke, averaging 15.7 points per game. Also leading the team from beyond the arc, Burke has knocked down 37 3-pointers on the season. Sophomore Monique Reid leads the team on the glass pulling down 8.9 rebounds per game and is second on the team in scoring averaging 15.6 points per game.
Georgetown enters the game with an overall record of 14-2 and a BIG EAST record of 3-0. Freshman Sugar Rodgers leads three players in double figures with 19.0 points per game. Junior Monica McNutt is second on the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game. Senior Jaleesa Butler rounds out the double figure scorers with 11.2 points per game, while also leading the team in rebounds with 7.1 per game.
The game will be the fifth meeting between the two teams while Louisville leads the series 4-0 over Georgetown. Last season the Cardinals defeated the Hoyas 74-58 at McDonough Arena.
The game will be broadcasted live on WKRD. The game will also be available on www.UofLsports.com. Jim Kelch will handle the play-by-play, while Adrienne Johnson will be the color analyst.
