
Women's Tennis Falls to Oklahoma State

TULSA, Okla. - The University of Louisville women's tennis team took the doubles point but could not stave off a hard-charging Oklahoma State team that swept the six singles matches for a 6-1 win at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The Cardinals battled the Cowgirls, taking three of the singles matches to three sets before falling. Lauren Imre fell to Maryna Tkachenko at No. 3 singles over 4-6, 6-2, 7-6. Olexsandra Belova won 7-5, 2-6, 6-3 at No. 4 singles over Natalia Baez. Sarah Miller fell to Iryna Khatsko 5-7, 6-1, 6-4 at No. 5 singles.
Louisville picked up its only point in doubles competition. Bianca Gorbea and Natalia Baez paired to beat Alisa Buslaieva and Iryna Khatsko 9-7. Lindsey Jones and Jo-Ann Van Aerde beate Jo-Anne Karaitiana and Nataliya Shatkovskaya 9-8 to take the tally.
