LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino and freshman forward Terrence Jennings met with members of the media on Tuesday at the Yum! Center to preview Wednesday's game against the University of South Florida. The No. 7 ranked Cardinals and Bulls will tip off at 7:04 p.m. ET at Freedom Hall and the game will be televised by WHAS-TV in Louisville.
Louisville returns home for three straight in Freedom Hall over a six-day period. The Cards have won seven straight, including a 67-57 victory at No. 8 Syracuse last Sunday. Earl Clark totaled 16 points, 13 rebounds and five assists for U of L in the game while Terrence Williams produced 15 points, nine rebounds and five steals.
USF (7-12, 2-5 BIG EAST) has won two of its last five games, but fell to 71-60 to No. 20 Villanova at home in its last outing. Freshman Augustus Gilchrist led the Bulls with 18 points and seven rebounds in that game.
It is the second of two meetings against USF this season for the Cardinals as U of L won 71-57 in Tampa on Jan. 7 in its BIG EAST Conference opener.
