
Pitino, Williams Preview Sunday's Game against No. 8 Syracuse

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino and senior forward Terrence Williams met with members of the media on Friday at the Yum! Center to preview Sunday's game against Syracuse. The No. 9 Cardinals and No. 8 Orange will tip off at 12:04 p.m. ET at the Carrier Dome in Syracuse, N.Y., and the game will be televised by WHAS-TV in Louisville.
Louisville will play its second straight on the road on Sunday against the Orange. The Cardinals have won six straight, including a 78-59 victory at Rutgers. Williams totaled 23 points, 11 rebounds, four steals and five dunks in the game, his third double-double in four games. Earl Clark continues to lead the team in scoring at 14.0 points per game, while Williams is tops on he team with 9.3 rebounds and 2.4 steals per game.
Syracuse (17-3, 5-2 BIG EAST), ranked No. 8 in both polls, has won eight of its last 10 games, but fell 78-60 at No. 4 Pittsburgh on Monday in its last game. Andy Rautins led the Orange with 17 points in the loss while hitting 5-of-12 three-pointers. Center Arinze Onuaku leads the nation in field goal percentage (.701), while guard Johnny Flynn leads five Syracuse players who average scoring in double figures with 16.1 points and six assists per game.
