
Pitino Previews This Week's BIG EAST Championship

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino met with members of the media Monday at the Yum! Center to preview this week's BIG EAST Championship. The No. 13-ranked Cardinals will tip off on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET, at Madison Square Garden in New York, N.Y., against the winner of Wednesday's Pittsburgh-Cincinnati game. All of U of L's games at the BIG EAST Championship will be televised nationally by ESPN.
The Cards enter the BIG EAST Championship at 24-7 overall and as the No. 2 seed following last Saturday's 55-52 loss at Georgetown. Junior forward Terrence Williams led the Cards with 14 points, while senior center David Padgett finished with 12 points and sophomore forward Earl Clark added 11 points.
All 11 games of the tournament will be televised on ESPN. The complete tournament pairings are listed below.
