- The Cardinals, who entered the game ranked 15th nationally in field goal percentage defense, limited Rutgers to just 32.7 shooting from the floor. The Scarlet Knights were the 12th team that the Cardinals held under 40.0 percent shooting from the floor.
- Junior Terrence Williams and sophomore Earl Clark each recorded double-doubles. Williams recorded his 11th career double-double and the fourth this season, while Clark registered the eighth of his career -- all coming this season. The Cardinals now have 14 total double-doubles this season. It's the third time this season that the Cardinals have multiple double-doubles in a game.
