Junior Earl Clark recorded his third double-double this season (back-to-back) and the 13th of his career with 17 points and 14 rebounds in the win over Ohio. He had 16 points and 10 rebounds in yesterday's win over Indiana State. He was 7-of-11 from the field and a perfect 2-of-2 from behind the arc today. His 14 rebounds was one shy of tying his career-high.
Clark also dished out a career-high eight assists in the win over the Bobcats. His previous high in a game was seven, which he did versus Jackson State on 11/18/07.
Senior guard Andre McGee tied his career-high with six rebounds today over Ohio. He previously recroded six rebounds on 12/10/05 in a win over Akron.
The Cardinals registered a season-high 26 assists on 33 field goals made in the win over Ohio on Sunday. It also marked the third time in five games that the Cardinals recorded 20 or more assists in a game.
The Cardinals scored a season-high 91 points in the win over Ohio, which makes them 102-5 over the last nine seasons when scoring 80 or more points in a game. Louisville is 75-5 under head coach Rick Pitino. Louisville is also 134-24 when holding the opposition to fewer than 70 points in a game under Pitino.
Freshman Samardo Samuels scored in double figures for the fifth straight game to open his U of L career. He tallied 19 points (the second-most in his career) on 5-of-8 from the field and a career-high 9-of-10 from the free throw line.
The Cardinals recorded a season-high 11 three-point field goals in the win over Ohio, which is two better than the previous high of nine, which came in yesterday's 83-43 win over Indiana State. The Cardinals 3-point field goal percentage of 47.8 was the highest in a game this season.
Junior Jerry Smith recorded a season-high 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting from the floor and 4-of-6 from behind the arc.
The Cardinals shot a season-high 51.6 percent from the field in the win over Ohio this afternoon, besting their mark of 48.4 percent in the win over Indiana State yesterday.
