Entering the game having played only 25 minutes, junior Reginald Delk established a new career-high with three points on 1-of-3 shooting from the field.
Freshman Kyle Kuric made his first career start for the Cardinals at guard. He tallied a career-high nine points on 3-of-5 shooting from the floor, including 3-of-4 from behind the arc. His previous high was a three-point game versus Morehead State on 11/22/08.
The Cardinals held Indiana State to 17 first half points. It was the lowest halftime total for an opponent since Louisville held Rutgers to 18 points on 2/2/08. Indiana State committed 14 turnovers and shot 23.1 percent from the field.
The Cardinals scored a season-high 50 points in the first half, shooting a season-high 60.6 percent from the field in that first half.
The Cardinals entered the contest versus the Sycamores ranked 18th in the country in blocked shots, averaging 6.0 per game. Louisville recorded 11 blocks in the contest, which was the second-highest this season and the second time in four games that Louisville recorded double-digits in blocks for a game.
Junior Earl Clark recorded his second double-double this season and the 12th of his career with 16 points and 10 rebounds in the win over Indiana State. He also had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds against Western Kentucky last weekend.
Senior Terrance Williams tied his career-high with five steals today. Williams, who ranks seventh nationally in steals, has 16 steals in his last four games.
The Cardinals scored 83 points in the win over Indiana State, which makes them 101-5 over the last nine seasons when scoring 80 or more points in a game. Louisville is 74-5 under head coach Rick Pitino. Louisville is also 133-24 when holding the opposition to fewer than 70 points in a game under Pitino.
Louisville held Indiana State to 43 points, which was the lowest total for an opponent since the Cardinals defeated Morehead State, 79-41 earlier this season.
The Cardinals recorded a season-high 16 steals, which is the most since the Cardinals registered 15 versus Providence on 1/13/07.
