Senior Terrence Williams recorded seven assists to give him 406 for his career, which stands eighth all-time in U of L school history.
The Cardinals moved to 7-0 on the season at home in Freedom Hall.
Freshman Jared Swopshire recorded his first career start for the Cardinals and made a solid contribution. The 6-8 freshman recorded a career-high eight points and four rebounds in his first start.
Williams recorded his 12th career double-double and first this season with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Williams also tied his career-high for three-point field goals in a game with five. He hit five against Providence on 1/13/07.
The Cardinals shot 50.0 percent from the floor in the win over UAB. Louisville is 6-0 when they shoot better than 45.0 percent from the field. Freshman Samardo Samuels recorded his second career double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds. His first career double-double was a 21 point and 12 rebound performance against Austin Peay on 12/13/08.
