LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino met with members of the media on Saturday at the Yum! Center to preview Sunday's game against Western Kentucky. The Cards and Hilltoppers will tip off at 3:00 p.m. ET at the Sommet Center in Nashville, Tenn., and the game will be televised by WHAS-TV in Louisville.
Louisville will play its first game away from home as the Cardinals face intrastate foe Western Kentucky. The last team in the nation to open its season, U of L won the Billy Minardi Classic with impressive victories over Morehead State (79-41) and South Alabama (81-54). WKU has won two of its first four outings, but fell 89-61 at Murray State last Saturday. The Hilltoppers are coming off a 79-70 win at home against Southern Illinois.
U of L will return to Freedom Hall on Saturday, Dec. 6 against Indiana State in the first round of the Marques Maybin Classic.
