The men's and women's swimming and diving teams are both nationally ranked in an academic poll compiled by the College Swim Coaches of America Association. The Cardinals' team grade point averages rank them amongst some of the best in the country.
The men are ranked in the top 25 and the women are ranked in the Top 75 among Division I teams that field aquatics.
Rafal Kuchta, a butterfly specialist for the men, earned Academic First Team All-American honors and had the 11th highest GPA among Division I swimmers. He is the first Cardinal swimmer to earn the honor. Swimmers must have qualified for the NCAAs to earn the academic kudos.
For the women, Liz Halet and Anna Dishuck earned Academic Honorable Mention All-American honors.
