
Women's Tennis Wraps Up Play at Tennessee

The University of Louisville women's tennis team concluded play at the St. Mary's Classic at the University of Tennessee Varsity Court and Tyson Park in Knoxville.
The Cardinals had just their singles play remaining on the final day of the three-day event.
Freshman Lindsey Jones beat North Carolina's Laura Reichart 6-1, 6-1 in the winner's bracket in flight three singles. Bianca Gorbea, in flight five lost in a three set heartbreaker to North Carolina's Meg Fanjoy 6-3, 3-6, 6-4. In flight six of singles, Jo-Ann Van Aerde lost to Kristen Bleakley in the consolations as did Katherina Tomalak to Tennessee's Rosalie Alda 6-3, 6-1 in flight seven. Natalia Baez won third place in the winner's bracket with a 6-1, 6-4 win over Pooja Kommireddi from MTSU to complete the Cardinal outing.
