
Sosa Named to BIG EAST Honor Roll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville freshman guard Edgar Sosa has been named to the BIG EAST Conference Honor Roll for his part in the Cardinals' season-ending victory over Seton Hall.
Sosa totalled 18 points, a blocked shot and two assists without a turnover as the Cardinals beat Seton Hall 86-71 on Sunday. He hit 7-of-11 shots from the field, including 4-of-5 three-point shots, as one of five Cardinals scoring in double figures.
Sosa has been the Cardinals' starter at point guard in all but two games this season. He leads U of L in steals (42), is second in assists (85), and third in three-pointers made (41-of-119, .345). He has scored in double figures in 15 games, including 9 of the last 15, and has averaged 3.9 assists over the last six games.
The Cardinals (22-8 overall, 12-4 BIG EAST) earned the No. 2 seed in the BIG EAST Conference Championship presented by Aeropostale in New York's Madison Square Garden. U of L will play the winner of the seventh-seeded West Virgina vs. No. 10 Providence game on Thursday, March 8, at 7 p.m. in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
