LOUISVILLE, Ky. - University of Louisville sophomore forward Terrence Williams has been selected to the BIG EAST Conference Weekly Honor Roll after leading the Cardinals to a pair of league victories.
In winning against St. John's and at Connectictut, Williams averaged 14 points, 5.5 rebounds, four assists and two steals while connecting on 53.8 percent of his shots. He led the Cardinals with 16 points and four assists in 26 minutes in a 72-48 victory over St. John's. Williams played the entire game in a 76-69 victory at Connecticut when he totalled 17 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals without a turnover in earning CBS Player of the Game honors.
On a balanced Cardinals' squad that features six players averaging over eight points a game, Williams is U of L's leader in scoring (12.1), rebounding (7.0) and assists (3.7). He is the only player to start all 29 games for the Cardinals.
After a week off from action, Louisville will play its final regular season game on Senior Day as the Cardinals face Seton Hall in Freedom Hall on Sunday. U of L fans are encouraged to wear red for the Cards' "Red Out" promotion. Louisville, which has won five straight and nine of its last 11 games, moved up to No. 16 in the Associated Press poll this week and debuted at No. 19 in the ESPN/USA Today rankings.
