- Senior Brandon Jenkins scored a season-high 15 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the field. It was the first time Jenkins scored in double figures since posting 14 points versus South Florida on 1/10/07. Jenkins also hit four three-point field goals, which is the exact number he hit in the previous meeting against USF.
- The Cardinals shot a season-best 68.0 percent in the first half, connecting on 17-of-25 shots. It was the best since U of L shot 59.5 percent in a win over Sacramento State on 12/2/06.
- The Cardinals connected on a season-best 9 three-point field goals in the first half and a season-best 75.0 percent, hitting on 9-of-12 trifectas. For the game, the Cardinals shot 12-of-22 from behind the arc for 54.5 percent.
- Freshman Derrick Caracter returned to action after missing the six games, scoring a career-high 16 points and grabbing a career-best 10 rebounds--the first double-double of his career. His previous high scoring night was 12 against Bellarmine on 12/10/06. He had a previous high of seven rebounds against Arizona on 12/5/06.
- Louisville is now 11-0 this season when leading at the half. The Cardinals held a 30-point halftime lead, 49-19, their largest halftime lead this season.
- Louisville scored 83 points and are 12-0 this season when scoring 70 or more points. U of L is 88-4 over the last eight seasons when scoring 80 or more points and 64-4 under Pitino.
- Center David Padgett sprained his left foot with approximately 13:00 remaining in the first half. X-rays taken at Freedom Hall were negative and he did not return to the game. His status will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis.
- The Cardinals recorded their seventh BIG EAST win, surpassing their win total from last season when they went 6-10 in their first season in the BIG EAST Conference.
- The Cardinals have connected on 23 three-point field goals in their last two contests, which is the most in consecutive games this year. Louisville hit 11 versus Gerogetown and 12 today against USF.
