
Pitino Previews Tuesday's Home Game Against Marshall

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Louisville men's basketball head coach Rick Pitino met with members of the media Monday at the Yum! Center to preview Tuesday's home game against Marshall. The Cards and Thundering Herd will tip off at 7 p.m. ET at Freedom Hall and the game will be televised locally by WHAS-TV.
The Cards, who will be playing the first of five straight games at Freedom Hall, enter the game at 5-3 overall following a 67-59 loss to Purdue on Saturday at the John Wooden Tradition in Indianapolis, Ind. Junior forward Terrence Williams led U of L in the loss to the Boilermakers with 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting from field, while sophomore guard Jerry Smith added 13 points.
Marshall enters Tuesday's game at 5-2 overall following an 87-51 win over Rio Grande last Friday as Darryl Merthie scored 22 points for the Herd. Junior guard/forward Markel Humphrey paces MU in points at 15.0 ppg and is shooting 47.9 percent from the field.
