- Senior center David Padgett left the game in the first half with a bruised knee. He scored nine points and grabbed rebounds in 12 minutes of action.
- Junior Andre McGee scored in double figures for the second straight. After scoring a career-high 18 points in the season opener against Hartford, McGee followed that up by matching his career-high with 18 points on 6-of-10 shooting from the floor and 4-of-8 from behind the arc.
- The Cardinals had nine players score in the win over Jackson State.
- The Cardinals forced 17 turnovers in the win over Jackson State on Sunday. U of L is forcing an average of 18.5 turnovers in its first two games.
- Sophomore Earl Clark has gotten off to a fast start in his first two games of the year with his first two career double-doubles. He scored 10 points and 11 rebounds against Hartford on Saturday and 20 points and 14 rebounds versus Jackson State. It's the third double-double for the Cards' as a team in their first two contests.
- Clark also recorded a career-high seven assists in the contest, besting his old mark of two set twice in his freshman season against Georgetown on 2/7/07 and Seton Hall on 3/4/07. Clark also grabbed 13 rebounds tonight, which breaks his old mark of 12 against Pitt on 3/9/07. His three blocked shots were also a career high.
- The Cardinals held Jackson State to just 29.9 percent shooting from the floor.
